A major alert has been issued at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station following a threat call claiming that RDX explosives were placed there. An anonymous caller informed the GRP control room of the alleged threat, prompting an immediate security response. Railway police launched a detailed investigation and conducted a comprehensive search of the station, but no suspicious items have been discovered as of now.

Recently, there has been an increase in threat calls of this kind. A few days ago, similar threats were made about bombs being planted at Mumbai Airport and the Taj Hotel. It was found that these calls originated from unknown individuals in Uttar Pradesh. This is not the first or second occurrence of such threats; there have been previous instances as well. In response, the police carry out swift and comprehensive investigations, conducting searches with urgency. Following any threat call, the police implement heightened security measures and take appropriate precautions.
